What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide analytics data to site owners.
How We Use Cookies
Learn Termux uses a minimal approach to cookies and local storage:
1. Essential: Local Storage
We use localStorage (not a cookie) to remember your dark or light mode preference. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.
Key: theme
Value: light or dark
Purpose: UI preference
2. Analytics: Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site: which guides are most popular, what devices are used, and which countries visitors come from. This helps us improve the content.
Google Analytics sets the following cookies:
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique users | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Maintains session state | 2 years |
No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
3. Security: Cloudflare Turnstile
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Cloudflare may set cookies or use browser signals to verify you are human. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.
Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings:
